Higher Ground!

Over the last 2 days, Indy has gotten a good 3 inches of rain! In the southern part of Indiana they have seen an excess of 6 inches of rain! The story below is from one of the news channels out here. I think it's pretty funny. After growing up in Las Vegas, it has been pretty awesome to see how much and how long it can actually rain all at once. In Vegas, it's a big deal if you get 1/2 an inch of rain! I can't believe that we have had 3 inches!! We should be getting some more late tonight and tomorrow too.

The other really weird weather thing here is when our high for the day happens at just after midnight! Yep, that's right...our high for yesterday happened at just after midnight! That actually happens quite a bit, too. Thomas & I wait up to watch the news most every night, just to watch the weather. It is so interesting to us!!

Higher Ground…

Thanks to Jami in Anderson for sending in this photo. We all know about the groundhog and his shadow.

So, what does it mean when a groundhog climbs a tree?

We are now getting the answer to that question. He clearly made a move to higher ground for a reason. He knew heavy rain was on the way.

Rainfall in excess of three inches is possible in Central Indiana. Flooding will be possible as a result of this heavy rainfall.

I love that you share the weather info! As you know, the weather here is so boring...it will be hot and sunny...so I love hearing something different!
