HAPPY EASTER!!

Today we went to Megan's preschool and participated in all the fun, including some Easter Egg Hunts! I have to say, it is the first time I have ever hunted for eggs while the snow was falling!! There isn't any snow on the ground, but it sure was coming down right before we got there. All the kids kept saying, "This is SO weird!" We had lots of fun, and are so glad that Megan invited us to come with her.

One funny thing......Trent & Beth were watching the 3 little ones while I took Aspen & Sierra to their age groups egg hunt. When I got back, Beth told me something cute that Marina said. The Easter Bunny was going around and having fun with all the kids. Beth asked Marina if she liked him or something to that effect......and Marina so "Hims a Her!!! We all thought it was so cute and funny!!

Have a Wonderful Easter, and always remember what this great Holiday is all about. I am so thankful for all the wonderful blessings my family and I have. I am forever grateful for my Savior and what he has done for me.

Enjoy the pics!!

Higher Ground!

Over the last 2 days, Indy has gotten a good 3 inches of rain! In the southern part of Indiana they have seen an excess of 6 inches of rain! The story below is from one of the news channels out here. I think it's pretty funny. After growing up in Las Vegas, it has been pretty awesome to see how much and how long it can actually rain all at once. In Vegas, it's a big deal if you get 1/2 an inch of rain! I can't believe that we have had 3 inches!! We should be getting some more late tonight and tomorrow too.

The other really weird weather thing here is when our high for the day happens at just after midnight! Yep, that's right...our high for yesterday happened at just after midnight! That actually happens quite a bit, too. Thomas & I wait up to watch the news most every night, just to watch the weather. It is so interesting to us!!

Higher Ground…

Thanks to Jami in Anderson for sending in this photo. We all know about the groundhog and his shadow.

So, what does it mean when a groundhog climbs a tree?

We are now getting the answer to that question. He clearly made a move to higher ground for a reason. He knew heavy rain was on the way.

Rainfall in excess of three inches is possible in Central Indiana. Flooding will be possible as a result of this heavy rainfall.

Yay!! Sledding!!

On Saturday, we finally got a good enough snow to go sledding. The kids were so excited to finally be able to use their new sleds that Santa brought them for Christmas. Thomas had to go to school, but I was determined to get some use out of those sleds. So, I found out where a good hill was, and off we went. To me, this hill was huge! As soon as we got there, the kids were like...We're gonna go down that??? Later, though, when Thomas saw the pics, he was like....That's nothing!! Anyways, we thought it was fun! I wasn't sure about Harley because she doesn't even like to go down slides, but I actually think that she had the most fun. Ryker kept saying on his way back up..."That was totally wicked!!!" Everyone else there was looking at us like we were really weird. I think it was because we were so overly excited to go sledding because we hadn't really gone before. I had to explain that we were Desert Rats and that this was new to us. Then everyone was like...Ooooh, we get it!!

Anyways, it's hard to take pictures when you are also trying to keep everyone from getting hurt or getting up the hill or, in Marina's case, warm and happy. So I don't have very good pics, but I thought I'd share them anyway.

Enjoy!!!

Jet Lag Sucks!

It's 2:30am here in Indy, and what am I doing???? Well, I'm wide awake, of course! I just finished doing ALL of the dishes...even the pots and pans that I usually put off until later...put in another load of wash...and just fed Aspen & Sierra some dinner. Yes, that's right, dinner! Right at 5pm, they just couldn't help it, they both went to bed and we couldn't wake them back up. Plus, they are getting really sick, too. I think all this jet lag is making their immune systems run on empty. So, there is my little rant. It's the only thing that I can complain about our trip. I definitely don't regret going at all, but MAN...jet lag sucks!!!
