FINALLY...Jo Bro Pics!!

We took these with disposable cameras. After I took as many as I could of them sitting around, I let them take pics of whatever they wanted. So, this is what we got! (Mind you...I trimmed them down, as most of them look the same since we were so far away!) FUN, FUN, FUN!!

Do we live in the Dark Ages??

Well, we went on Saturday to CVS to turn in our disposable cameras from the concert. The lady was like, "Okay, we should have them back by Wednesday!" WHAT??? Yea, I guess they have to send them out to Kodak to get processed. Whatever!!

Jonas Brothers Concert (Pics...Coming Soon!)

On Wednesday, I surprised the girls (and myself) with a last minute purchase of Jonas Brothers concert tickets! I heard that there were some Lawn Seats on sale still, so I went to check out the price and they were 4 for $99. I knew that wasn't a bad price, seein' how regular seats were for more than $100.

Aspen & Sierra were down at their friends house, and I called and told them to come home really fast, alone.

They came in and said, very snotty, "What do want to talk to us about?"
I said, "You better be careful!"
Sierra says, "What? You got us a puppy!!"
I said, "Absolutely NOT!"
Sierra says, "What then...we're going to the Jonas Brothers Concert??"

Remember now, they are still being a little snotty in their tone...

I said, "Well, that's what I wanted to talk to you about."

**Silence**

Both of them, very quiet, "What?"

I told them how I found some cheaper tickets, and that IF we went, we would be WAY in the back. I also told them that I would be taking all of the kids, and that I would need their help keeping an eye on everyone.

They just kinda sat there like...is she for real????

When they finally "came to," they told me that their friend was waiting by the front door and they asked if they could go and tell her. I said, of course, and they came back in and said she was crying because she was so excited for the girls. Then, the inevitable question came...Can she come too?? I told them that if it was okay with her mom and she paid her way, AND if her mom knew that it was going to be me, and me alone taking 6 kids, that she could come.

They RAN out the door and down the street!! About 5 minutes later, they run in all out of breath screaming....She can go! She can go!!

It was a bit hectic taking everyone, but it was so much fun!! We were walking across the parking lot as Demi Lovato was singing, and they all just lit up. (It was in an outside arena) By the time we got inside, she was finished. Then Avril Lavigne performed. She was really good. She talked to the girls in the audience about how they should never let ANY boy pressure them into doing anything that they don't want to do. After that, she sang her song about that. I was really impressed with her, as I was a little leary about her because I know she can be quite the rebel.

THEN....the brothers themselves came out! Now, I've been to plenty of concerts, and never in my experience have I ever heard such deafening screams. These boys really know how to play to their fans and play FOR their fans. They were on stage for a good 2 hours!! I don't remember any main act at any concert staying out on stage that long. So, it was really worth it to go.

Ryker got to the point where he couldn't take the screaming anymore, and ended up lying on the blanket covering his ears! Harley, who had been complaining and crying about not being able to see Avril and was worried about not being able to see Joe, Nick & Kevin, was screaming and singing and dancing like I had never seen before. She was, by far, the funnest to watch. Aspen, Sierra & Danielle were just weak in the knees and screaming like crazy. Marina sat on my shoulders for a bit and clapped, but by 10pm she was tired and ended up lying next to Ryker.

Me...I just sat back and watched, as I became one of the coolest moms in the world!!

I was so glad that I let my gaurd down, and just bought the tickets. The whole time before & after I bought them, I kept thinking...What if this is a mistake? What if I just spent way too much money? What if I lose one of the kids? What if I'm spoiling the kids? What if, What if, What if...

It was so much fun and totally worth every penny! It is a memory for me & the kids that won't soon be forgotten.

PS We weren't allowed to take in a camera that could be used as a video camera, so I had to buy some disposable cameras. I will be getting those developed and will post pics soon. There were only so many pictures that I could take of them sitting on the lawn, so I let the kids have the cameras and just take pictures as they pleased. I'm excited to see what I get back!!

4...Count 'em...4 New Posts!!

That is AFTER this one!! So, keep on scrolling, and enjoy!!!

Just Because...

I just had to share this picture with everyone. Marina LOVES here Uncle Tyler. He is pretty much the only one that is allowed to call her Strawberry. (Plus, he was the one who started calling her that) Anyways, she was so happy that she got to spend some time with him!

Now...this is to make everyone in 115 degree heat JEALOUS!!! Yes, this is Marina watching fireworks in JULY...you know, the middle of Summer!!! She is in her winter coat and has a blanket covering her! I didn't think it was that cold, but the kids did. They all ran in to get their sweaters or coats on. Too Funny!!

These next two pictures are of Uncle Thomas in the corner. He got in BIG trouble with Jorgiana when he lit a really loud firecracker right next to her foot!! He meant to throw it out in front of her a ways, but it didn't go as far as he had probably planned. Well, it went of just about an inch or two from her bare toes!! Needless to say, she was really scared and then angry. I asked her if he needed to go to the corner, and she very sternly said, "YES!" So, he went! Then she decided he needed a little swat on the bum, just to make sure he knows that he better not EVER do that again!!!

Finally....4th of July Pictures!!

We had lots of fun this 4th of July with Thomas' family that came out to visit us here in Indiana. We hope they enjoyed themselves, and can't wait for another visit!! (Hint, Hint)

This first set of pictures were taken while were starting to light off fireworks. Yes, it was still daylight, as it doesn't get dark till about 10pm here. The kids just couldn't wait any longer. Plus, it was getting a bit cold for the kids and the desert rats!!

This next set of pics is of the kids doing their sparklers after the "big kids" (Thomas, Tyler & Trent) were finished with their bigger fireworks! And, boy, were they bigger. The fireworks they were setting off, are definitely illegal in Vegas, but out here in the country, they're not!! My dad would have had a heart attack!! (Oh wait...he did have a small one recently!!) Well, he would have a had a bigger one! I mean, they were landing in fields with tall grass and weeds. It's a good thing it has been raining a lot, or I think it would have been a bit more dangerous. They were really cool, though. I'm sure Anamarie will have some videos up of them later. (She is still trying to sift through all her pics.)

This last set of pics is of our last full day together. We all wanted to get some pictures of our families together, since we haven't seen each other in about a year. It was lots of fun, and the kids loved being able to get tons of pictures with their cousins and aunts and uncles. Well, enjoy the pics, and I hope you all had a great 4th of July!!!

EWWWW!!!

Aspen went to the dentist last week, and was told that one of her molars really needed to come out. He told her if it didn't come out in 2 weeks, that she needed to come in to have it pulled. She Freaked!! This molar had an extra long root, and you could see the root as it was moving down out of place, but it just wasn't loosening up enough to just fall out. It actually came far enough down that it pushed the bottom molar underneath it so that it was twisted in under her tongue. Trust me, it's wierd looking!

Anyway, she was so scared to have it pulled, that she started working on it to try on loosen it up on its own. Well, she loosened it up enough to make it hurt real bad, and she asked Thomas to try and pull it out. He couldn't get a good enough grip on it, so he wrapped pliers with gauze....yes....pliers!!! She didn't care as long as he got that tooth out. He did get it out, and lucky for him, I wasn't home when he did it. I would never have let him do it!

She was really relieved not to have to have it pulled by the dentist. I was totally confused by that, as I would have opted for the numbing stuff! Oh well...it's out, and I don't have to pay the dentist to do it!

Coyotes in our Backyard!

These coyotes live about 20 feet from our backyard. Needless to say, we don't go back there often!! They have never bothered us, but we are a little leary of them. I have seen at least 5 at once, but have never seen an adult one. It's kinda cool, and kinda freaky at the same time.
